Our Services

Seven Programmes.
One Purpose.

Every service we offer is designed around one question: what does this community actually need?

Soup Kitchen & Food Relief
๐Ÿฒ

Soup Kitchen & Food Relief

We serve hot, nutritious meals to vulnerable members of our community โ€” the elderly, children, unemployed youth, and families in crisis. No appointment needed. No questions asked. If you are hungry, you are welcome at our table.

Our food relief programme operates on a regular weekly schedule and scales during community emergencies and school holiday periods when children who depend on school feeding are most at risk.

Who we serve: Elderly residents, children, unemployed adults, families in crisis.
Government Services Assistance
๐Ÿ“‹

Government Services Assistance

Navigating government systems โ€” SARS, SASSA, Home Affairs, CIPC, CSD โ€” can feel impossible without access to internet, a printer, or someone who knows the process. We do.

Our team assists community members with SASSA grant applications and appeals, SARS eFiling and tax clearance, Home Affairs document applications, CIPC business registrations, and Central Supplier Database (CSD) registrations โ€” at no cost.

Who we serve: Grant applicants, job seekers, small business owners, first-time taxpayers.
Community Football League
โšฝ

Community Football League

The Macholo Community Impact League is a formally structured, professionally managed youth football league currently comprising 8 competing teams and engaging over 120 young people every weekend.

The league is more than sport. It is a structured social anchor that keeps youth productively engaged, builds teamwork and discipline, and โ€” through our digital media training component โ€” creates direct pathways into employment in drone piloting, videography, and event management.

Who we serve: Youth aged 15โ€“35 in Thabong and surrounding communities.
Digital Skills Training
๐Ÿ’ป

Digital Skills Training

We train unemployed local youth in practical, marketable digital skills including drone piloting and aerial videography, live event broadcasting, PA sound operation, digital content editing, and social media management.

Trainees graduate with a real portfolio of work โ€” not just a certificate. They leave having operated professional equipment in a live event environment, ready for freelance or employment opportunities in the growing digital media sector.

Who we serve: Unemployed youth, school leavers, aspiring freelancers.
Youth Vocational Programmes
๐Ÿ”ง

Youth Vocational Programmes

Beyond digital media, Macholo connects youth to structured vocational pathways across a range of practical skills. Our programmes are designed around what employers in the Free State actually need โ€” not theoretical curricula.

We partner with local businesses, training providers, and community organisations to ensure that every young person who comes through our doors leaves with something they can use.

Who we serve: Unemployed youth aged 18โ€“35, NEET individuals, school dropouts.
Healthcare & Wellness
๐Ÿฅ

Healthcare & Wellness

Access to healthcare information and wellness services is a right, not a privilege. Macholo hosts regular community wellness days, health screenings, and awareness campaigns in partnership with local clinics and healthcare workers.

Our healthcare programme focuses on preventative care โ€” helping community members understand their health, access services they qualify for, and connect with the right support before a crisis develops.

Who we serve: All community members, with focus on elderly, women, and children.
School Support Programme
๐Ÿ“š

School Support Programme

We provide after-school support, learner assistance, and educational resources to primary school learners in Thabong and surrounding areas. Our programme targets learners who are falling behind due to overcrowded classrooms, lack of learning materials, or difficult home environments.

We work closely with local school principals and teachers to identify learners who need the most support and ensure they receive it consistently.

Who we serve: Primary school learners, Grade Rโ€“7, in Thabong and Welkom.
Community Space Rental
๐Ÿข

Community Space Rental

The Macholo Multipurpose Centre facility is available to community groups, NGOs, government departments, training providers, and local businesses for meetings, workshops, training sessions, and community events.

Our space is accessible, clean, and equipped. Proceeds from facility rental directly fund our community programmes.

Who we serve: Community organisations, NGOs, training providers, local businesses.
